Gumwrapper “Wrigley”

2017 Off the Track Thoroughbred Gelding 16.0h
(Goldencents x Vision of Candy BY Candy Ride)

https://www.pedigreequery.com/gumwrapper

Track Life: Wrigley retired from the track in January 2022 and came to our farm shortly after. He raced an impressive 30 times during his career and retired completely sound. Wrigley was sold in-house after he was restarted from the track. His owner just got into grad school, so will no longer have the time to give him that he requires.

On the Ground: Wrigley is a total ham on the ground. He knows how to give the perfect “kiss for cookie” and is extremely personable. He enjoys being groomed, but he absolutely loves to be bathed and drink from the hose. Wrigley is well mannered leading to and from his paddock. No stable vices.

Undersaddle: Wrigley is currently walk trotting and being introduced to poles. He is starting to work on cantering as well. Wrigley its a very comfortable ride, is uphill and has his own motor (but is respectful to a whoah). He easily goes onto the bit with a simple leg into hand. Wrigley is best suited for an advanced rider looking for a project to bring along. He could be suitable for an advanced intermediate rider working under a trainer, with the trainer also giving training rides. He is not naughty and doesn’t have a spook. He can anticipate what you are going to ask next, so a rider who has a good independent seat, leg and hand would excel with him - his anticipation is going away with the more work he has under his belt.

He is a horse who likes a program. His ideal program is being worked to some capacity 4 -6 days a week. Wrigley enjoys his routine and progresses really quickly when worked consistently. He is going to make a fantastic horse with some more time and training!

Other Facts: Wrigley was starting to jump small courses with a lead change in 2022. Towards the end of 2022, Wrigley strained his DDFT on his left hind. He was fully and properly rehabbed and given the all clear by his vet with no limitations for a future career. Since he was cleared in 2023, we have been slowly and correctly bringing back into the shape he was prior to injury. He is currently going super at the walk trot. We are starting to do pole work and work on cantering again. He had just learned his right lead before his injury, so we are working on teaching him how to pick it up again - not there yet, but we are close!

Wrigley has very minor maintenance. He gets his hind shoes trimmed and reset every 3 weeks to keep his angles up. This is not a forever maintenance, it is just until his hoof grows properly to allow for more heel. He is great for the farrier for his hind feet. He does sometimes require a cocktail to allow the farrier to shoe his front feet - he will pull them away from the farrier, so it is easier to have him a little relaxed just enough to get the front feet done. This isn’t needed every time.

He is UTD on shots, farrier, teeth and coggins.

Price: Mid fours x,xxx - to increase with more training come end of summer

Cowboy Waltz “Oakley”

2018 Unraced Thoroughbred Mare 16.1h
(Golden Lad x Dominix BY Orientate)

https://www.pedigreequery.com/index.php?query_type=horse&search_bar=&h=COWBOY+WALTZ&g=5&p=0&f=1&l=

Oakley never made it to the track and doesn’t have any race training. We got Oakley straight from her breeders on August 29th, 2022 and she was only saddle broke at the time.

On the Ground: Oakley is such a lady on the ground and has amazing respect for personal space.

Oakley is used to wash stalls and aisle crossties. She will stand for hours if it means she gets to be groomed and loved on. She is a total sweetheart towards every person she meets.

Undersaddle: lightly backed - walking. Will require an advanced rider working with a trainer. Is also a perfect horse for a professional to bring along. She is a clean slate! Oakley is voice trained under saddle to Walk On, Whoah and Back Up.

First Week Here: Oakley arrived off the trailer very calm and interested in her new surroundings. For never leaving her previous connections and only being used to one person handling her most of her life, she did absolutely amazing in adjusting. Oakley walked right into her new stall and made friends with her neighbors, she dove into her salt block and settled quickly. We kept her inside the first night to get acquainted and she did fantastic. The next day we turned her out all day/night by herself and she adjusted to her new field life perfectly. She is a total dream to lead around and we see no reason why she wouldn’t settle in quickly anywhere she goes.

She is UTD on shots, farrier, teeth and coggins.
